  • Do you ever accidentally use your personal bank account or credit card to make a business purchase, and get frustrated with yourself because you lost a deduction?
-
The good news is, just because you use a non-business account doesn’t mean you lose the deduction!
-
Simply take the receipt and document it just like you would a business expense from your business account, then reimburse yourself for the amount.
-
Reimbursing yourself could mean writing a physical check and depositing it, and it can also be as simple as making an electronic transfer if your bank accounts are linked on the same login.
-
The other key is, the expense is deductible when you REIMBURSE yourself, not when you make the purchase from your business account.
-
After reading this, do you have some expenses you could reimburse yourself for? Let me know in the comments.

  • If you’re like most business owners, you think sending out 1099s is a major pain. Besides figuring who you’re supposed to send what, one of the biggest challenges is chasing down all those W-9s in a frenzy in January.
-
I’m here to tell you there is a better way.
-
Get the W-9 before you pay them their first dollar.
-
Once you have paid them their money, they are MUCH less motivated to fill out and hand you that W-9—after all, can you blame them? This is just one more form that is reporting to the IRS how much money they made.
-
But if you withhold funds from them and make it company policy to not pay someone until you have a W-9 on hand (for individuals…corporations don’t need to be sent 1099s), the year-end process will be so much simpler.
-
If I’m fully honest with you, I’m speaking from personal experience both for ourselves at @measuredresults, and especially in trying to help our clients chase down information. Those vendors just magically disappear when it comes to W-9 time.
-
So do yourself a favor and don’t pay a vendor until they have filled out and returned their W-9 to you. Then file it away in a W-9 folder that you send to your accountant in January.
-

  • Who likes tax deductible food? 🙋‍♂🙋‍♂
-
If you are a business owner, you want to make sure you are deducting all of your business meals.
-
To refresh, a business meal includes: meals in your area of business WITH a business colleague, or meals by yourself when you travel out of town for business.
-
But as I’ve said before, the key to making sure any deduction holds up in an audit is DOCUMENTATION.
-
For meals specifically, there are five items you need on a receipt:
1. The name of the restaurant
2. The date of the meal
3. The amount you paid
4. Who you met with and their business relationship
5. What business items you discussed
-
The first three items are already on the receipt so you’re covered there.
-
The last two, a best practice is to jot them down on the receipt right when you make a purchase and then snap a picture of that receipt so you have it!
-
Remember, you want to pay as little tax as possible and also have those deductions HOLD UP if you get audited!
-
So take the proper steps to document your meals!

  • LOVE UNENDING

Highlight:
"Christ, who suffered for you, is your example. Follow in his steps." - 1 Peter 2:21

Don’t be discouraged. Christ is perfect in everything, including his love for the Father and for each of us. But even though he encourages us to follow his example (see 1 Peter 2:21), he understands our #weaknesses and forgives our #imperfection. John wrote about this contrast: “I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if you do sin, there is someone to plead for you before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who pleases God completely” (1 John 2:1). How did He do it?

First, Jesus loved without discrimination. Jesus spent time with everyone who came to him, even misfits and outcasts. He was at home with both the wealthy and the poor. He ministered to #prostitutes, dishonest #tax collectors, #Roman #soldiers, and stuffy #Jewish #religious #leaders. Jesus shows how you can look past #physical, #cultural, and #socioeconomic differences to see every person as someone worth loving.

Second, #Jesus loved without conditions. He loved people whether or not they accepted him as #Messiah and Lord. He showed the same concern for Judas as the other disciples (see John 6:70-71; 17: 12). He prayed for those who crucified him (see Luke 23:34). Jesus shows how to love people not because they love you, know you, or care about you at all but because everyone needs God’s love and yours.

Third, Jesus loved without measure. #Paul prayed we would “have the power to understand … how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is” (Ephesians 3: 18). Why bother to understand the greatness of Christ’s love? Because only then will your love grow wide and long and high and deep enough to meet the love needs of people around you.

Have a great day ahead!
#Confession: "Lord Jesus, I can’t love as perfectly as you do, but I want to grow in my love for God and others. Thanks for being my example and please help me to love even the "difficult people" in my life." Amen!!!

  • We’ve all had moments in our lives when we want to try something new. But often, we tell ourselves, “this is really hard!” and so we stop. We just go back to our old routines. Instead of continuing to try, we throw in the towel with surprising ease. We forget that everything is really hard before it gets easy.

Trying new things and getting into new habits is wonderful. Learning new things is good for you. But even if we are aware of this, it’s hard to break out of our routines and make a change. It’s not easy to leave your comfort zone. After all, you’ve been building your comfort zone for years!

But if you take a look back, you will realize that nothing is ever easy at first. Everything, absolutely everything, takes effort. There is always some degree of difficulty at the beginning before it gets easy.

He said "That's a memorable moment in my life, a five year old dream achieved with lot of pain only for a reason,
Wanted to prove that differently abled without prosthetic limbs can be free to their mind as they wish, whether you charge with #GST and #tax we can live our dream!" #kilimanjaro #oneleggedindian #clou
