नमस्ते सदा वत्सले मातृभूमि ..
Beloved motherland I bow to you forever.
Oh Great Nation, the sacred realm, I was brought up here with your immense care, love and nourishment.
I dedicate the whole of myself to your service forever.
I went to my appointment today after nearly not being able to leave the house due to crippling anxiety lots of tears and pain endured getting ready. I've had my assessment and will get the results tomorrow to see if I can have the treatment. The nurse also told me I would need to get my skin under control first, this will probably mean some sort of steroid and moisturiser. I am really in two minds as to what to do now. I can't see me being able to carry on living like this much longer and always said I would get help if it all became too much. However I am obviously concerned if I use steroids I will set myself back and have to do all this again sometime but could be worse. The nurse mentioned prednisone, I told her my concerns of withdrawal and she said I would be weaned off and would be receiving the light therapy whilst doing so so flares and withdrawal wouldn't happen? Has anyone ever tried this? Or have any experience with prednisone? My other idea is to up my steroid to the 2.5% hydrocortisone and see if that helps to clear then wean off this through the light therapy as I am using 1% still at the moment (clearly not doing anything) and then get a plan in place with the dermatologists of what to do going forward to get off the steroids if this doesn't work. If anyone has any similar experiences or advice I would really appreciate it. I said I would never go near another steroid but this just shows how much I am struggling and I need to listen to my mental health and look at my quality of life which is non existent right now and for the foreseeable.
As you may know, I have been working really hard on boosting my gut health.
I first started with an elimination diet in August. I learned that the best method to eat for my body, while going through topical steroid withdrawal, is the Autoimmune Protocol Diet, which is a stricter version of eating paleo. I have restricted it even further with no eggs, coconut and reduced fruits and veggies.
So when I came across cassava flour (yuca root), I knew I had to try this colon-boosting calorie-dense starch that boosts immunity and reduces inflammation.
This waffle recipe is free of many allergens...BONUS!
***** SHAHEED JATHEDAR TALWINDER SINGH BABBAR ***** PARNAAM SHAHEEDAN NU
From 1979 – 1981, Jathedar Sahib travelled all over Punjab doing sewa, Amrit sanchar’s, teaching people how to live as true Sikhs of Guru Gobind Singh ji. During this time, approximately 15,000 people took Amrit from Jathedar Sahib. Jathedar Sahib was a very charismatic man, dressing in Nihang Singh Bana, with his colourful chola and dumalla. Looking at Jathedar Sahib, you forgot all your worries; he made you want to be a better person, and the best possible Sikh you could be.
In June 1988 Jathedar Sahib left his comfortable life in Canada once again to fight human rights violation of his fellow Sikhs in India. He could not sit and let a tyrant government take advantage of his people.
In early October 1992, Jathedar Sahib was arrested by the Indian police while trying to cross into India from Pakistan. He was tortured but stayed true to his Sikhi and Guru Ji. The Indian police created a fake encounter, in which Jathedar Sahib gave his Shaheedi.
Jathedar Sahib was a great Gursikh. His Nitnem consisted of 18 banis. He got up at 2am to do simran for 2 hours. He could do a Sahej Paath by himself in four days. He would do a 12-13 hour Rohl. Jathedar Sahibs gursikhi jeevan is something to aspire to. The world would be a better place if there were more Singh's like him.
