I cried over a pineapple today. 🤦🏼♀️⠀
I hosted an all day work event at my house today and as usual, I overthought every detail and created extremely unrealistic checklists to prepare for the big day. ⠀
⠀ @coltbartholomew helped me clean, wash windows, run errands, do yard work in the scorching July heat, stayed up all night and helped me put on the finishing touches. This morning he made 3 trips to PG before 8 am because I needed stuff. He cut a pineapple wrong for a recipe I was making and I cried. ⠀
I was sleep deprived and wanted everything perfect but seriously wasn’t worth tears! 😂 I am the first to say I couldn’t do my job or this life without him as my partner. Here’s to my #1 and improperly sliced pineapples. Also here’s to incredible strategic planning events and a badass team. I’m tired but today was a Grand day! ⠀

Today's tip: If you're using an ATM at night, and the lights at the ATM aren't working, don't use it. While it may just be that the lights are burned out, it's not worth the risk, and the ATM may be tampered with. If the ATM is at your financial institution, let them know during business hours.

"I began working as a summer intern at Grand Rapids State Bank in high school. I enjoyed working at the bank and was lucky enough to get the opportunity to come back to the bank for the past three summers. Now that I am out of high school, I’m currently studying business administration and marketing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. One of my favorite aspects about working at the bank is becoming familiar with my coworkers and customers. It is nice to be able to interact with all of the people within the community and provide them with the services Grand Rapids State Bank has to offer. Working here at Grand Rapids State Bank has allowed me to give back to the community. For me, as a young banker, I appreciate our online banking. It allows me to transfer funds and check the activity in my account at any time. It’s great to work at a bank that can offer different services, such as mobile banking, to our customers. Our different services, whether it be online or in person, offer the most convenience for our customers. This is my community and my bank." - Tucker Johnson, Teller #mycommunitymybank#banklocally#banksofinstagram#community#communitybank

"I work as a teller and customer service representative at Minnesota Lakes Bank, so I get to help customers with virtually anything they need. I enjoy that immensely. I grew up in Mound, so coming to work here was familiar. I liked the idea of serving people I knew and grew up with. I really appreciate the different ways we have to meet our customers’ banking needs. From online banking to mobile banking to walk-in service, we’re there to help people however they need it. This is a family-friendly community bank, and that’s one of the things I truly love. The bank really values the efforts we make as employees to help our customers. That makes this a great place to work. This is my community and my bank." - Jen Pomeroy, Teller/Customer Service #banklocally#mycommunitymybank#banksofinstagram#community#communitybank

All the elements listed above should be taken care of from the very beginning.😉
Making specific changes after a few months or years is obviously possible, but it causes some difficulties and creates general chaos.😯
Customers attached to the identity of a given brand often feel a bit confused when they observe the sudden transformation of the company, which for some reason was close to them. In addition, it should be mentioned that rebranding is a very expensive process.⚡
Therefore, do not postpone this issue for later❗

October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do you have any idea how often we find abandoned receipts in ATMs? You'd be surprised. While these receipts might not include complete account numbers, there are other personal details that you wouldn't want just anyone to pick up.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Today's tip: To keep your account information totally confidential, be sure to ALWAYS take your receipts or transaction records with you. And if you don't need your receipt? Destroy it. Don't just toss it. Black out sensitive information, and shred it.

I had the pleasure of stopping by United Community Bank's first Raleigh branch a few weeks ago and meeting Jim Rose (State President, North Carolina) and John Lowe (Raleigh Metro President). Although this is the 70-year-old bank's first official Raleigh location, they've surrounded the city with other offices in Cary, Holly Springs, Apex, Knightdale, Garner, Clayton, Fuquay, and Four Oaks. They have branches all over the southeast and gravitate more towards smaller towns where their top-down initiative of better customer service is more applicable. They make a concerted effort to treat their customers like neighbors not just clients, creating lifelong trust-inspired relationships that span generations.
Congrats on the new location and cheers to many more. #ucb#ucbi#banking#communitybank#buildingrelationships#theuniteddifference

In October we wear pink... On average, every 2 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer in the United States. The good news is that most women can survive breast cancer if it's found and treated early. #TeamBLC is proud to participate in #breastcancerawareness month 🎀
“Several years ago we were relocating to the area from out of state and were referred to Community Bank by our realtor. We first established a long distance deposit relationship. They then provided us with a residential land loan and followed through with our construction loan. Finally, they funded the permanent mortgage and a line of credit on our new home. Bryan, Al, and team were welcoming, professional and very helpful throughout all these stages. They made everything as painless as possible with regard to the loan application and closing processes. We appreciate their competitive fees and terms and could not be happier with their on-going service and support.” Scott and Laura
